A retail experience inside one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s most iconic buildings — a careful balance of authenticity and innovation.

The new store was placed within what was originally the first floor of the administrative wing, reimagined to feel as if it had always been part of the museum. Authentic materials and design motifs drawn directly from Wright’s language shape the environment, while hidden merchandising systems preserve the integrity of the architecture. The result blends seamlessly with the surrounding galleries yet lets the retail team adapt for current exhibitions and trends. The design was so true to Wright’s vision that it earned first-round approval from the New York Landmarks Committee.
